Dear Friends,
As always, we want to share important information with our community so you can stay informed and make up your own mind. We remain an unbiased platform, and in that spirit, I’m passing this along because it may be meaningful to you as
a member of the autism and neurodiversity community at large.
Recently, a group of autism researchers and advocates announced the launch of a new independent committee focused on guiding autism research priorities based on evidence and science.
This volunteer committee - made up of experienced researchers, clinicians, and advocates - aims to provide a trusted, science‑grounded source of information about autism research and care. Their first meeting is set for March 19, and they plan to focus on areas that support safe, evidence‑based
practices and help shape research that can truly benefit autistic individuals and their families.
I know many of you care deeply about research that’s rooted in solid evidence and that uplifts the voices of autistic and neurodiverse people and their loved ones. That’s exactly the kind of perspective this new group hopes to champion.
If you’d like to talk more about this or how it might relate to your journey, I’d love to hear from you - karen@autismtoday.com.
